A location might represent a city, a facility, a branch, a building, a floor, a generator, an ups etc.

Faradai Energy presents opportunities to configure points. To learn more about configuring point management, you can go to this article: Configuring Point Management.
With the newly developed feature of Faradai Energy, many points can be added simultaneously.
Follow the steps below to use the newly developed feature:
- Step 1: Firstly, go to the 'Admin Panel' from the 'My Account' section in the navigation bar.
- Step 2: Go to the Locations section in the Admin Panel. From here, you can add or edit points in bulk.
Adding points in bulk
There are two different excel templates Users can use to add and edit points. If desired to add, the default excel template is downloaded as blank, and it has to be filled according to the instructions written on the excel templates. It is then restored to the system. Thus, single or many points can be added to the system simultaneously. This feature can be applied to locations, sub-locations, and assets.
- Step 1: Click the 'Create New +' button
- Step 2: Select the 'Add locations via upload' option from the opening list
- Step 3: Click the 'Download Template' button from the opening window.
There are three sheets for location, sub-location, and assets individually.

Step 3.1: For adding locations via upload:
- Name the location from the "Location Name" field.
- Choose the type of location from the "Type" field.
- Select the utilisation purpose of the location from the "Activity" field.
- Select a tag or multiple tags from the dropdown list. (Adding a tag to a point is optional)
To be able to select a tag, users have to define all needed tags for a point by using the locations feature from Faradai Energy UI once.
Tag examples: 250-500 m2, black sea region, west of Ankara, middle east, East Europe, shopping mall, Turkey, climate control, etc.
- Enter the area of the building (m2) from the "Area" field.
- Write the location coordinates as latitude and longitude in the relevant fields. (Adding lat. and long. Information is optional)
Users can find the latitude and longitude information of the locations by using Google Sheets geocode transition add-ons. Then, users can copy the longitude and latitude information into the latitude and longitude columns of the excel template.
Step 3.2: For adding sub-locations via upload:
- Name the location from the "Sub-location Name" field.
- Choose the type of location from the "Type" field.
- Select the utilisation purpose of the sublocation from the "Activity" field.
- Select a tag or multiple tags from the dropdown list. (Adding a tag to a point is optional)
- Enter the area of the building (m2) from the "Area" field.
- Enter the point's parent name. A parent for a sublocation point could be a location or sublocation point type.
Step 3.3: For adding assets via upload:
- Name the asset from the "Asset Name" field.
- Choose the type of asset from the "Type" field.
- Select a tag or multiple tags from the dropdown list. (Adding a tag to a point is optional)
- Enter the point's parent name. An asset point'spoint's parent could be a location, sublocation, or asset point type.
- Step 4: After finishing the process of adding location/sub-location/asset points information to the excel file, save the excel file.
- Step 5: Upload the saved excel file by dragging or selecting from the computer into the platform.
If there is an error in the uploaded file, it will be re-downloaded to your computer. You must re-fill the excel file according to the instructions and upload it again.
